" A comprehensive frame for 'design for Time' in architecture has been produced supported by the idea that agency informs the life of buildings. It shows that Agency is a required episode of change in the causal linkage between episodes of change in which building works are done and more extended episodes of being. Whilst humans needs and desires are required to bring buildings into being they are contributors among other forces which can change building in physical or abstract realities. From an evaluation of architects narratives and through the development of the comprehensive frame it emerges that custodianship is a key mode of agency in the life of buildings. "
